I can’t speak to amps less than 30 watts not needing a bias. All I can say is that there is a bias spec/procedure for the HT20, so in this case you will need to bias new power tubes

The short answer is yes. You’ll need to keep the output very low because the amp is expecting to see a very low level guitar signal. You also can’t defeat the speaker emulation, so that will effect your tone. A better option is to run it into the effects return which will bypass the preamp of the mo...

Hope you find an answer to your problem. I have a stage 60 that had a blown cap which cut power to the plates. After replacement I could get sound with no headroom. Adjusting the bias did increase the headroom, but would start to cook resistors. I could not get any reading from the bias test point. ...
