Re: HT40 Not Cutting it.

Glad didn't offend. Actually, I have Tinitus, and wear earplugs live (Mainly in the left ear because of uber loud drummers years ago and my own turning the volume up to "stupid"). Was also one of the reasons I got the HT5-H and HT20-H, initially. They (Earplugs) are an adjustment, certainly. I also...

Actually you are more then right. The band has old guys like me, all of our hearing is messed up. The drummer and bass player both wear earplugs and tend to player louder with them.

Re: HT40 Not Cutting it.

was it ok when you first got it and now the volume is dropping or has it been this way since day 1 ? make sure tubes are fully seated in the sockets - this has been an issue for some many on here have had issues with the stock TAD tubes as far as reliability (myself included) the tubes would be the...

Re: HT40 Not Cutting it.

how old are the tubes? - volumes drops are 1 sign of tubes going down...have you noticed a volume drop since it was new? try getting the amp off the floor and on a stand.. extra cab wont really make any louder unless you have a really loud band you should have plenty of volume on the 40 The amp is ...

HT40 Not Cutting it.

I am finding my HT40 is not cutting it from a volume perspective. By the end of the night I'm pushing both channel full bore and it is barley cutting it. What is sad this is only for stage volume, I'm running an emulated line to the front-house. I have a few choices and want some opinions. First of ...

Re: Channel Bost on Club 40

Guys, I actually went for something else. I purchased a Fulltone Drive2 Mosfet. I've only had it for a couple of hours but it seems like a great solution. It can provide a clean boost or drive the signal to a pretty good break-up. Very flexible. It has a true bypass. I've been able to set it to prov...

Channel Bost on Club 40

I've had my Club 40 for two days now and just love it. I've been using modelers for so long I forgot what I was missing. I like the simplicity of a combo. My only concern it a lack of a boost on the 40. I did not go for the 60 because from a power perspective the 60 was just way to much, I want to b...

Re: Blackstar Venue in 4CM with new POD HDs

I know this is an old thread but just in case someone comes upon it. I just purchased a Club 40 and own a HD500. As long as you set the levels appropriately through the signal change and have the right settings in the HD500 you can achieve some amazing sounds. I've done the 4CM, just used the effect...

Re: Turning HT-40 into a three sudo 3 channel

Set the hi gain channel for your distorted leads and use a modest gain pedal, such as a TS-9 on the clean channel for crunch/mild distortion. Or, do what I do: Set the volume levels of the clean channel, the clean channel w/ the TS-9 on lo-gain, and the hi gain channels so all three are the same an...
