Re: Removing Plastic under the Tube Viewing Window

All the other tube pedals I recall have some sort of ventilation . Seriously though it gets uber hot in there if its on for a while. Sometimes im using it...

Removing Plastic under the Tube Viewing Window

Just picked up a wonderful used ht boost and noticed the viewing window isnt a vent just a window.

The plastic is underneath and is removable.
Wondering if anyone has removed it.
Seems kinda weird they didnt put any vents in it.

Re: Help with HT100

Im quite sure the jack tip is what complets the circuit to to the speakers. So in other words your amp think it has a load And I would not use any of the other taps untill you get it out of there. Pcb mounted jacks are a pain in the ass

Re: GreenBack....

To answer the OPs question I have tried a 4x12 greenback cab with my stage 60 . Sounded really good. Way better than the 70/80s but its subjective and I havent heard of anyone else usen em. But seriously, I wouldnt use no less than 4 greenback with the 40 and 60 and no less than 2 with the 20 if the...

Re: Crunch v Supercrunch relative volume levels

Hey Redknuckles, I think the problem is that when you boost gain and have a bit more bass and saturation, the mids get lost a bit so your ear perceives this as a volume cut. To compensate for this, they redesigned the circuit to give a slight boost. If you want complete control over everything, the...

Re: Crunch v Supercrunch relative volume levels

Or a variable resistor, i.e. pot  [/quote] Or that! But a toggle would be cleaner looking on the front unless its not to crowded on the back :) Now that I think about it, why would blackstar change it to a db boost when people complanied about it originally dropping dbs? They didnt really fix...
