Ok, so 110mV IS DEFINITELY TOO HIGH.

My amp didnt blow up, but the sound all the sudden got quiet after I played loudly for a while. I put the amp back down to 100mV and all is well and it still sounds good.

that is pretty high...i ran mine up a few notches but that much - i think my tech said mine was around 75 now and with that i noticed a subtle difference - at that level i would certainly think tube life would be shortened somewhat if you are using it on a regular basis... 75 is for the HT 60 thoug...

I just re-biased my amp (HT 100). I've had for over a year and it has always sounded good, not great. I finally decided to check the bias and it was set under 90mV!! I cranked it all the way up to 110mV and it sounds GODLY.

Question is.. is that too high or do you think problems will arise?

I hated my HT-100 at first. Then i did some modifications.. I replaced all my preamp tubes to GT's, gold connectors. The stock tubes are junk made by Tube Amp Doctor.. they don't even sell replacements that low grade of that brand either. Put all my effects in the loop except the wah and my Boss OD-...

Preamp tube replacement makes a HUGE difference. The stock pre-amp tubes are junk. I put some Groove Tubes in there, gold connectors. The sound IS gold.

Loud. Not the best clip, but I'm on the right side of the screen with an HT-100 into a Marshall 1960a Lead.

What was the bias at when you put the new tubes in without adjusting it?

Throw the delay in the loop and throw the Metal Zone in the trash. EQ and Noise Gate I would throw in the loop as well, otherwise it kills your tone. I don't knwo why you want a compressor, the HT-40 OD channels are compressed enough for that modern tone.

I'll never understand why people want to dial in other guitarists tone. Be creative and dial in your own tone! Or else be destined to a life of playing covers!
