Hi wandering what issues you are referring to, my BS 40 plays as dream.I have just put set of JJ to the preamp and pair of Tung Sols to the power section and have spare Lead 80 and it is a breeze to listen to.Now I purchased GT-100 to put in to to 4CM and seems it does not suck tone at all compare ...

welcome gill.... i would suggest adding a 2x12 cab for more bottom end - a single speaker with an open back probably wont give you what your looking for tube swaps and speaker choices are subjective - i use JJ's in my 60 and love them speakers - too may choices to suggest...thats going to depend on...

i just put together a new rig centered around a blackstar ht-club 40, still working the kinks out of it but i am pretty satisfied so far. The tone is not as bottom heavy as i'd like and the mids are not as dark as i am accustomed to, anyone have any suggestion of preamp tube swaps, or replacement sp...
