Re: stage 60 problems/questions
Agreed! The phase inverter is absolutely the most crucial tube in your amp!

Re: stage 60 problems/questions
There's actually 3 Preamp tubes in the ht 60. I had a tone of issues with the stock tubes in mine, there not matched, there's biased cold, and are cheap pos's. This is what I did to my ht 60 and it sounds unbeleivable! Pre amp: - V1 I swapped in electro harmonic 12ax7 tube - V2 I also used a electro...

Swapped out the power tubes, biased them and amp works fine! Just had some back luck with the stock tubes. I'm going to order and replace them all. Thank you so much for your help and insight guys, hopefully I can return the favor

Re: forgot to turn head off......
I had left my Marshall jcm head in standby for 2 1/2 days. I just turned it off for a couple hours to cool down, and it was fine. Like others have said I'm sure it cuts your tube life down but that's about it. You can order tubes with a 24hr burn in before they ship them so I would just keep banging...

Re: Loosing sound on ht stage 60
Yes it does, I've tried pulling and reinstalling the power tubes to see if they had a bad connection but the problem continues. Won't be in my studio until Wednesday to swap tubes but any suggestion is appreciated

Re: Blackstar HT Stage 60 'uncompromising' reliability..hmmmmmm
IMHO Whether you pay buckets o' duckets for a tube amp or buy a second hand or "bottom shelf" amp You almost always have to swap out tubes. Should be less of an issue on buying new amps, but everyone seems to skimp when it comes to stock tubes. I unfortunetly have had more problems with blackstar st...

Re: Loosing sound on ht stage 60
Thanks for the response! I did take the back off the amp and try to reseat the tubes with no luck, also the fuses seem to be fine. Im going to pull the power tubes out of another amp I have and swap them in once I get to my studio. Never had tubes act that way that are bad or going bad, I usually ge...
