I put a JJ in the V2 position last week and the OD2 channel did sound better at band practice last night. I had it retubed with JJ EL34`s too. Well my HT was taken to a Blackstar dealer yesterday for the issue to be sorted.

Pre or power tubes dude?

Mines just humming full stop, no guitar noise at all. The power tubes are probably in a push/pull configuration so the dead one won't be pushing or pulling anything if it's dead!

But wouldn`t that then require you to have a computer that had the same port to be able to flash the firmware........just a thought.

How would you upgrade the firmware? Replace an eprom in the amp or something?
