Re: Tubes Dilemma
Hi bud, My HT60 actually had a SovTek in v2! I replaced that with a JJ last week and OD2 sounds better, a bit smoother than before, which is what I was going for. I`m looking to take some ice-pick of OD1 though, so would be interested in what other people have done there. My power amp has 2 JJ`s in ...

Re: Which pre-amp valve is V1??
I changed the V1 into a TungSol 12AX7 V1, which in my opinion is the best one in the V1 position. The V2 or phase inverter I changed to a JAN-5751. I'm gonna stick to these for a while and put it to the test (at volume) during the next band-rehearsal. Did you get any results at your band practice m...

Re: Want Marshall tone in the HT-100?
I put a JJ in the V2 position last week and the OD2 channel did sound better at band practice last night. I had it retubed with JJ EL34`s too. However, OD1 is still a bit harsh and ice picky to my ears, would replacing the V1 tube have any effect on smoothing that out a bit? I actually plugged the t...

Re: HT60 Died...... :(
Well my HT was taken to a Blackstar dealer yesterday for the issue to be sorted.
Thanks to Sam from Blackstar, who sorted it our personally.
Pretty good customer support to be honest!

Re: HT60 Died...... :(
Mines just humming full stop, no guitar noise at all. The power tubes are probably in a push/pull configuration so the dead one won't be pushing or pulling anything if it's dead!

Wow.
Didn`t think about that.
Clever.
But wouldn`t that then require you to have a computer that had the same port to be able to flash the firmware........just a thought.

Re: HT60 Died...... :(
Just a quick note to say Blackstar are now addressing my issue, had a call from one of their sales managers here in the UK who has arranged for the amp to be picked up from a local dealer, returned to them, fixed and then returned to me. So I have to say, that`s pretty decent service really. I say '...
