Re: HT-60 Stage, Clean Channel Problem - nasty "clipping" and break up :(
I spent a good 6 months with it, but I could never get a decent classic rock crunch that I liked (I`m in a Rock\Blues cover band, so OD1 was the most used). I think I`d tried different speakers, different tubes (pre and power) through different cabs, boosters, OD`s etc but got to a point where I co...

Re: HT-60 Stage, Clean Channel Problem - nasty "clipping" and break up :(
Weird. Intermittent problems are the worst, specially when they decide to show themselves at band practices or gigs............
I did swap my pre`s for EHX Gold Pins and didn`t have any other problems. Although I sold the HT60 3 weeks ago and it`s new owner hasn`t complained yet!

Re: Got a new HT-60 Stage!
I actually changed the speakers in mine to v30`s (one of them was real old and broken in) and it didn`t change enough to warrent the change! At least thats what I thought. I also tried it through a matamp cab with K100`s in and it still sounded very similar..........very strange.

Hi mate,
Have you eliminated everything from the signal path. I`m sure I remember mine doing that a couple of times when I had a few things in the FX loop, might have had the level on it set wrong. I know you mention your other channels\voicings ae ok, but I`m sure mine were too!

Re: Tubes Dilemma
It`s 60 watts push\pull, which means one tube pushes while the other one pulls. I`m not sure how the pre-amp works though, I have a feeling it doesn`t cascade through the pre-amp tubes like more normal tube pre-amp circuits do. I`m sure I read that V1 manages the clean and OD and V2 manages OD2, in ...

Re: New Stage 60 Owner
I was playing the other day and started getting more pleasing tones using OD2 as the crunch channel and OD1 as the high gain.
Try it, you might like it!

Re: Tubes Dilemma
I use EHX 12AT7 in position for clean and Tung-Sol ECC803S for OD channel. For power amp section Tung-Sol EL34B, much better sound to what I got with the original tubes, less harsh more pronounced an certainly more detail. Cool, good info. I`ve just ordered a EHX Gold Pin for V1 (yeah, they`re chea...

Re: Want Marshall tone in the HT-100?
in the v1 position I have a Groove Tubes Ecc83-s, gold series. Sounds really smooth. JJ's are really cheap and sound really good. I get all of my stuff from Amplified Parts. Did you mean that a decent tube in the V1 socket smoothed out the OD1? If so, I`m gonna get ordering another JJ. Yes definite...

Re: Want Marshall tone in the HT-100?
I put a JJ in the V2 position last week and the OD2 channel did sound better at band practice last night. I had it retubed with JJ EL34`s too. However, OD1 is still a bit harsh and ice picky to my ears, would replacing the V1 tube have any effect on smoothing that out a bit? I actually plugged the ...
