Re: killed the icepick with a new V2 tube

Hey Trinity, Thanks for the reply. I'm going to give the preamp tubes a try.
I agree with you with the speakers. I've got my amp about 3 months now & I'm very happy with the sound of the seventy80's.

Re: killed the icepick with a new V2 tube

That sounds good to me Trinity. I've been thinking about trying out some new tubes in my HT 60 & I think I'll give that a try. Have you changed any other tubes or are the rest original?

Re: Gigged my HT 40!!!!

Great to hear. I'm still waiting to try my HT60 in an outdoor gig.
Did you notice a big difference after you changed the preamp valves.
Louder or better sound in the clean or OD channel?

Re: Help needed !

Hi. I was in the same position. The Ht40 would have been fine but I ended up with the HT60 because of the three channels. It's a great amp with alot of good sounds, very versatile. Being able to footswitch between OD1 & OD2 is great. I set OD1 for my rhythm & OD2 for leads with a bit more gain. I've...

Re: Got my Stage 60 today!

I just checked the G12k-100's on musicians friend. They are only offered in 8 ohm. the stock speakers are 16 ohm.
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I have no experience in changing speakers.
Would the 2 new 8 ohm speakers plug into the 4 ohm output now?

Re: Got my Stage 60 today!

Great video & real nice playing, parts of it reminded me of Ty Tabor, one of my favorite guitarists. Thanks for your fast reply to my questions. I'm going to be ordering the K-100's & the tubes. One more question. You have some great sounds on that video could you tell me what effects you're playing...

Re: Got my Stage 60 today!

I have my stage 60 about 3 weeks now & my impressions are pretty much the same as yours. The clean channel is one of the best of any amp I've owned. The two OD channels are good but I can't get exactly what I want out of them. I thought it was probably the speakers. I never changed speakers before s...

My HT Stage 60 settings

This is a really good, versatile amp. With the three channels & the footswitch I am able to get just about any sound I'm looking for. I have this two weeks & have only played in my house so the master volume is set fairly low. This is the settings that work well for me. I've used alot of different g...

Re: Blackstar Ht STAGE 60

GT - Sorry about the G.A.S. , I know the feeling. That's how I ended up buying this after seeing all the videos. Drk - I just really started playing with this today but I'm getting quite a few real good sounds out of it already. I'd be very happy to post more settings. I'm already working on getting...
