Re: Who's played both the HT-1 and HT-5? (trying to decide)
I tried both combos. I bought the HT-5. The HT-1 might be good as a head with a cabinet but, the combo was really lacking. It was worth the extra money for an HT-5 combo tho.

Dude....GET THE LES PAUL! If you don't you'll only be wishing you did six months from now. NOT an EPI, NOT an Agile...A FREAKING GIBSON. I had an LP studio that I loved. It was stolen over a rehearsal weekend and dang....I MISS that guitar! If you can go to a music store and try one out....Even the ...

Re: Cooked HT-5R
Nah...sounds like the only real pain of it all is the fact that you will probably have to box it up and send it somewhere....most likely postage prepaid by the vendor and then you'll be amp-less for a few weeks. THAT is the suck part of the whole deal, I'll bet.

Re: HT STUDIO 20 vs VOX vs ORANGE vs BUGERA
I thought the Blackstar sounded much more open and less "pinched" than the other 3. Those are ALL very nice amps tho....hard to argue that any one was better than the other....it's all a matter of personal preference.

Re: Ht-5R Effect Loop Volume.
Glad you figured it out! Just remember now to go into the Zoom and turn off the amp modeling if you just want to use it as an effects box. I had a POD HD300 and the only way I got it to sound good with my amp was to bypass the preamp section of my Hot Rod Deluxe by plugging the output of the HD into...

Re: stage60 user needs PEDAL suggestions
I can't say enough good things about the Fulltone OCD overdrive pedal....it gives you all the gain you want for that extra bit of OOMPH! without jacking with your guitar or amp's natural tone while delivering WAY more than what a normal BOOST pedal would do....it just makes everything sound BETTER w...

Anyone tried this?
Just bought an HT5-R Combo Amp initially just for practice and recording. I like this little amp SO MUCH that I am thinking about ditching my OD and Distortion pedals that I use in front of my main rig (a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III) and using the HT 5 as a pre-amp to drive instead. I have done stuff ...

Re: Blackstar Delay, Modulation, Pedals
Depends on how you look at it. Tubes are going to create a fuller, warmer sound than most other pedals utilizing IC chips. Having said that, there are some MIGHTY FINE solid state pedals out there....Fulltone and Keeley make em and they are't cheap but, excellent pedals for the price. The Boss pedal...

Re: How to turn on Blackstar Venue Series HT-60 Stage?
ditto to the last reply....beyond the fact that powering on and off in the wrong order is something you will do from time to time....don't sweat it....doing it every now and then won't really even hurt the tubes too much....I STILL occasionally will be at a gig and someone (thinking they are doing m...

Re: Tell Me About Your Experience With the Emulated Speaker Output
I would suggest looking at an OD pedal (Fulltone and Keeley both make excellent ones in addition to that classic green monster) and playing with your guitar's volume knob to get JUST the right amount of desired break up. The other good way if you don't want to buy an OD pedal is to use the gain chan...
