HT-1R Head
After having an HT-1 combo since it first came out, I'm now getting the HT-1RH. These are probably the finest bedroom amps around.
Re: Ohms?
The Blackbird speaker which came in mine is actually an 8 ohm speaker. It it not a bad sounding speaker at all. I did replace it with an 8 ohm Jensen C8R. It sounds even better now. I still have the Blackbird as a backup. The HT-1 is one of the greatest small practice amps ever made. I rate it up th...

Fly 3 Power Supply
I got one coming by UPS today. The only thing I find strange about the amp is the 6 AA batteries. Why not just built it to take a nine volt? Vox also did the same thing with their Garage series pedals. With their pedals at least the power supply is a standard nine volt ( negative tip/positive ring)....

Re: HT-1RH full stack.
I have an HT-1RH and 408 matching cab, after watching some really cool reviews on the Fender Excelsior with its 15 inch speaker I dragged an old dusty bass cab I had in the garage out, checked to see if it was 8 ohms and plugged it in. I don't claim to have the best ear for tone, but I know what i ...

Re: HT-1RH full stack.
Mine says from 4 to 16 ohms in the back.Service wrote:Hi, The HT1/HT1-R & HT1-RH are happy with a 4, 8 or 16 ohm speaker. The early models said '1x8 ohm' but this was later changed to '4-16 ohm'.
Hope this helps.

Re: Guitar Center exclusive HT1 combo
I know GC is selling the HT-1 right now for $199 plus tax. That is a sweet deal for a bitchen amp, anyway you slice it. I've been a fan since I saw the Anderton demo. That same day I hunted one down from Sam Ash. They had one on display that I played and, I took home one left in the box. The GC by m...

New Speaker & Tubes
Out of the box my HT-1 has always sounded great. It loves nice OD pedals as well. I've had it over two years now so I finally decided to change speaker and tubes in it. I put a Mullard 12AX7 in the preamp spot, replacing the Sovtek which was in there. For the power tube I put a NOS GE 12AU7/ECC82, r...
