I use an EQ in the loop for a little bit of tone shaping, but I mainly use it to drop the volume down so I can run the master volume on the amp higher. The eq makes it easier to get cranked tone at manageable levels around the house. Interesting. Never thought of using it in that way. Does it allow...

Awesome! It's always nice to find a tone that really makes you happy. When I play a gig with my Stage 60 I usually get asked, "what in the H$%L are you playing through?!?! It sounds awesome!!!!" LOL

Put an eq in the loop and it works great for low volume use. I use mine all the time like that. Its a different beast when you get to crank it though!
