Re: Wish there was more talk here.

I know it's already been mentioned, but we have this: https://plus.google.com/communities/111654239021548320732 Conversation seems sporadic. We may have a flurry of conversation for a few days or a week, then radio silence for two to three weeks. On a positive note, I have made a lot of friends thro...

Re: Sound issues with ID 100 TVP

I think the retailer will be your best option at this point. You've tried all the "user serviceable" options, assuming you can duplicate the problem in different locations (possibly of voltage issues at one place?) Since the amp is really no more than a circuit board, it sounds like it's time to use...

Re: Sound issues with ID 100 TVP

weirdness.... If you can duplicate the problem with a different guitar and a known good cable (that cable is known to be good, right?) then let's try a few things on the amp side. Does this happen regardless of the channel used? Try to determine if the issue is isolated to a specific preamp channel ...

Re: Is TVP Abandoned?

Right. I want to stress again, I LOVE my ID:260TVP, but would also love to see some bug fixes to address what looks like some pretty common issues out there, as well as some feature additions/upgrades. I hate Line 6 with a passion, but one thing they do well with their digital stuffs is continue to ...

Is TVP Abandoned?

Curious... Blackstar has come up with several new products over the past couple of years, none of which featured TVP. There was the ID Core, the ID Beam, and new HT offerings, like the HT Metal and so on. But it seems like what I would consider one of the most innovative design ideas to hit guitar a...

Re: Blackstar ID100 head versus Orange CR120

I've not played the Orange CR120 personally. But I own several Blackstar Amps. I don't have the ID100, but I have the ID260TVP, which is essentially the same head at lower wattage. That said, based on my real world experience with the Blackstar product and cross referencing that with experience with...

Re: Acoustic simulator settings hurting my ears?

You know, i had a cellphone that did that once.. Call audio sounded fine, but if the call lasted more than about 30 seconds, it made me nauseous and felt like an ice pick had been jammed in my ear. Turns out the speaker was producing some oddball frequencies or something to that effect... Do you get...

Re: ID30 TVP

The TVP amps, in my opinion, are quite versatile and take "most" pedals well. They perform much better than the Core counterparts, primarily because of the valve emulation. Have you been able to try one in a local store? If classic rock, blues, and bedroom are your primary concerns, you may also wis...
