Re: Getting more low end out of my HT60
Quickest fix would be to put a Graphic EQ pedal in the effects loop and boost the frequencies you are missing after the pre-amp. This works well with my HT40 which is also very thin sounding at low volumes in the low mid and bass area. A BBE Sonic Maximiser in the effects loop is another alternative...

Re: HT-40 Owners, help with a "Metal" Tone?
One way to get both pre & power amp saturation at low volumes is to use a power soak (aka load box or attenuator) between your amp and speakers i.e. a Jettanuator. You can run your master volume near max and adjust the actual volume with the power soak.

Re: HT40 no bottom end?
Solved the bottom end problems by using a powersoak at home practice volumes so the power stage is being pushed (sounds warmer) and also putting an MXR graphic eq in the effects loop to boost the lows. However I'm still disappointed that I've had to do that. I've had both Fender and Marshall tube am...

Re: Club HT 40 any good for Hank Marvin stuff?
Hi The clean channel of the HT40 has 2 settings Vintage (Class A) and Modern. The Vintage (Vox AC 30) setting does break up moderately on high channel volumes however the Modern clean (Fender Twin) setting does not break up at all even with everything maxed out. On the down side there is only a sing...

Re: Blackstar HT 40 Club Overdrive/boosting
I too have been experimenting with a TC Electronic Spark Booster but in the effects loop just boosting the bass which compensates for the lack of bottom end this amp has pretty well.

HT40 no bottom end?
Just bought a HT40 the first valve amp I've had for many years. So far I'm fairly disappointed with the tone I'm getting I was expecting a complete revelation. The legendary warm valve tones just don't seem to be there. At bedroom volumes there is no bottom end to the lead channel or the vintage cla...

Re: HT Club 40 Effects Loop
I think the 4/-10 switch on the effects loop just alters the attenuation and does not affect any buffering. I can't percieve any loss of top end when using long leads with the effects loop so I'm assuming it's buffered but I can't find any info in the handbook.
