Re: HT Stage 60 or ID 260?

For a 'swiss army knife' does-it-all solution, you seriously can't beat ID. I rave on about them, but I've been using digital stuff for a number of years out of pure necessity and it's always been a compromise. Then I got my ID:60 and it changed everything. Forget the marketing hype (they have to sa...

Re: 60TVP or 260TVP?

For bulk and weight, read the manual. As for spread, you do get stereo effects, so if you're big on using modulations and delays you'll notice the difference. I've been gigging a 60 with a second guitarist and a fairly heavy-handed drummer recently and it's bee absolutely fine. The 260 may give you ...

Re: Wrong Footswitch?

I'd suggest dropping Blackstar a line to check. They may even be able to tell you where you can get an 'official' footswitch.

Re: S1 50 vs HT 1w

It's a little hard to advise as you're talking in very subjective terms. For one thing the 'sweet spot' is likely to mean very different things to different people. Apart from pure Wattage, the HT-1 and S1-50 are very different amps, tonally - so if you're trying to recreate the sound you got from t...

Re: Problem with my HT-1RH?

With only one of each I suspect it's going to be tricky working out where the fault is.

The obvious option would be to try your head into another cab, or another head into your cab. Can you get in to a music store?

Re: Recording with ht-60

No, you don't need to disconnect the speaker cable. That note refers to the head versions, warning that if you don't have a cabinet connected, you mustn't have any cables running to the speaker output sockets. To record silently with your combo, simply put it in standby mode. Of course you don't hav...

Re: Amp types or characteristics of the ID amp TVP valve opt

They don't model specific amps - that's pretty much the point of TVP I think. Sure, a Blues Junior might use those valves, but so will lots of other amps. In terms of characteristics of the valves - the website has that: ◾EL84 - 'Bell like full bodied Class A with lots of compression' ◾6V6 - 'Crisp ...

Re: ID: 260TVP patch volume

Does anyone know of a midi controller that doesn't require external power? I don't need rocker pedals, just switches for patch selection and fx on/off, gain boost etc.

Re: HT-Metal pedal & feedback noise

With huge gain comes huge potential for feedback! However, there are a few things you can do to reduce it. First, levels. Set your amp up exactly as you would if you were playing with no pedals. Then, plug the pedal in (yes, to the front of the amp, where you'd usually plug your guitar). With the pe...
