i was looking at the stage 60 amp online, and wondering if anything is upgraded from the mkll to the mklll version. i can find a fair amount of used mkll's out there, and they sell for just over half the price of a new one. don't know if its worth paying more for the new one. tia for your input.

an update-I've had this amp for a week, and like it a lot. the clean channel makes it easy to dial in a sound, and the crunch channel lets me get the amount of distortion just right. very happy1

after trying out a used venue 40, I decided to put blackstar on my list of amps to look at. just got a club 40, and found this thread on biasing-thank you! is this pretty much all I need to know? I am just a bit confused about what test points to use, and if I just need to adjust bias, or if there is a way to adjust plate voltage too. I see 3 test points (10, 18, and 13), or at least that'...

next question- where do I test for bias on each power tube? I saw a thread (and maybe I missed something-sorry) that mentioned test points, but I'm not sure where they are for each tube. thanks again for this...phred

I have a question- I found the page for the bias info-seems straitforward, but I am confused by the adjustment that says "balance" . can someone explain what that is for?
