Re: Help me with TVP-60-Head outputs
So long as the speaker is 4- 16 ohms you'll be fine. If the amp only has two speaker out with no impedance rating you can use 4-8 or 16 ohm speakers. At 16 ohms the overall volume will be quite a bit less. It'll still be loud though.

Re: Tell me about Blackstar amps
I've never had a problem with my HT-5 or ID15 OR 60 TVPs. They're customer service in the UK is excellent, however Korg in the U.S. have a terrible reputation for repair and warranty issues. Personally I think the TVP's sound far better than The HT's. Although the HT-20 sounds far nicer that the HT-5.

Re: Blackstar ID 15 TVP - external speaker ?
I modded one to be able to do this. It's easy enough and took about an hour to mod.

Re: How do I push my amp?
'Tis the only way, at least if you don't want solid state power amp distortion which sounds awful8len8 wrote:Yeah, if you want to push an amp (either preamp or power amp) get an all tube amp.

Re: ID 60 TVP Head output to PC speaker
It doesn't do it very well, there's a lot of latency there. It's good for remaping but not playing or recording directly through.

Re: ID:Core 10 Speaker Impedance?
If you run 2 x 4 ohm speakers the impedance will drop to 2 ohms. I modded my ID15 TVP to be able to run an external speaker. If this is what you are doing and you plan to run a 2x10 or 2x12, make sure both speakers are rated at 8 ohms in your cab and you wire the speakers in parallel as it will drop...

Re: Must I have a speaker attached?
Solid state power amps are more tolerant of not having a load but you should really have either a speaker fitted or a dummy load. It might still die if you don't, especially if your asking the amp to pull a big load.

Re: Id15 tvp
I modded my ID15 to be able to use an external speaker jack some time ago but I haven't tried it yet with my 2x12. I'd imagine it would far better moving more air through bigger speakers. It was an easy job to do too.

Re: ID:60 TVP-H - TVP options volume
Just tried it. I've never noticed that before, It's not really an issue for me though. It's almost like Blackstar has given the valve type emulation the relevent output levels. Although the EL84's have noticably the lowest output. The rest are almost level with each other. I found the difference bet...

Just out of curiosity are you using a DI box into the interface?
