S1-45 - Effects Loop broken?
Hi, Recently tried to hook up pedals into my effects loop and when I switch to the Crunch/Super Crunch channel there's no sound change. The amp plays clean, if slightly louder. However, with nothing in the effects loop, super crunch and crunch work. Am I suddenly doing something wrong or has somethi...

Re: 2nd Side Made (West Midlands, UK)
Still going strong and still working on our first release. And still the Blackstar is kicking ass live and in recording. https://scontent-b-fra.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/10628345_10152617675970590_5963577853541581446_n.jpg?oh=89c18ca83a6f8330c9b784f41d265374&oe=549173BD https://fbcdn-sphoto...

Re: Series One 45 - popping noise
Thanks everyone. Watford Valves seems to be the best bet. As they are plug and play, with the power section requiring bias, any ideas on the following selection (after a bit of ebay searching for ideas)... MesaBoogie EL34 Electro Harmonics ECC83 PHILIPS JAN ECC82 6189W - as recommended by Watford Va...

Damn. Ok then. Thanks MistaSnowman.
Anyone got any good suggestions? Sadly this tube replacement may have to be on a tight budget.

Series One 45 - popping noise
Hi everyone,
I've had my Series One for 4 years now and I have just developed this problem. Even when the amp has warmed up I get a popping noise mostly on the Warm Clean and Crunch channels.
Would it be safe to assume this would be the time for a tube replacement?
Thanks all.

Product Idea: Smaller Channel Switch
Hi,
First post in a long while but it dawned on me recently; I am trying to use the space on my pedalboard economically, and I thought "What if the channel switch for my S1-45 could be smaller?" - any suggestions or info on this being possible?

S1 45 Combo: quiet whistling when idle?
Hi all, I've had my Series One 45 for 2 years now still on stock tubes. I'm a newbie when it comes to valve amps and just now my amp has developed a sort of whistling noise when I just do nothing on the Super Crunch & Crunch channels (sort of sounds like a Sonic Screwdriver from Doctor Who, if you g...

Re: 2nd Side Made (West Midlands, UK)
Great to see some more UK bands rocking this gear! Just checked out your tunes on the myspace! BIIIIG sound for a 3 piece! Well done. All the best! A MOMENT LOST Thanks! And on top of that we may be getting a 2nd guitarist in to do the extra bits that are on our EP that we can't quite do live. Than...

Craig (2nd Side Made) - Birmingham, UK
Hi, I'm Craig - I am the lead singer and guitarist for a band called '2nd Side Made', a post-grunge/alternative metal band from Birmingham, England. We have only been together for 7 months (3 months of which were making songs) and played 4 shows, but in those 4 shows we have made a big impact and ar...
