If its not cables or power tubes or interference from other electric devices, then pre amp & rectifier tubes is about all you can check, then its of to the tech. you could try gently tapping a tube with a pencil to see if it changes the sound.

This is what i found out so i will share with you, may help someone = V1 = ECC83 Ch 1 V2 = EF 86 Ch 2 V3 = ECC83 P Inverter V4 = EL 84 Power amp V5 = EL 84 Power amp V6 = EZ 81 Rectifier Changing power amp valves for other make EL 84 is fine and no bias required. Hi, Just want to know if mine is correct as i got it second hand, as follows - TAD 7025 - EF86 - ECC83 -EL84 - EL84 - EZ81 - That is the order of them, is this correct. and what is there function and relevant no V1 V2 V3 etc I understand that the EL84 are the power tubes and the EZ81 is the rectifie...
