Re: Upgrading from Series One 100 tothe: 6L6, El34, or 200
I have the Series One 200, but have never tried the 100, so I really can't comment on the differences. I think the S1 200 is a terrific amp with a lot of gain on tap. I haven't been using it as much, as I've been using my Marshall JVM, which suits the songs my band plays better -- classic rock stuff...

Try dialing back the gain and up the mids. That may help.

Re: Series One 200 blown tube?
I don't believe you have to change all of the tubes, but you do have to have the tubes biased, and unless you know what you are doing, you should send it to a tech.

Re: Wish there was more talk here.
I agree. Not much action here. There is a handful of people who post, but for the most part, it's hard to get any real discussion going. Same with the Mesa board. About the only board where you get regular activity is the Marshall forum, but you don't get a lot of Blackstar love there.

Re: HT Club 40 Combo weird behaviour
If you have the original tubes in the amp, it's about time for a change and bias.

Re: Blackstar Series One Master Volume Question
Excellent! Congrats. I have the Series One 200, and I love it. You are not going to notice a significant difference in volume between 50 watts and 100 watts. I doubt you will be playing at volume 10 in either amp, and even if you do, the 100 watts will only be about 3 dbs louder than the 50 watts.

Re: Does the ID:Core 20 have effects loop?
I bought mine in 2014, and no, it does not have an effects loop.
