I have a sneaking suspicion that Blackstar 'may' release a new firmware update that 'may' fix this strong damping effect problem. I was very fortunate to have spent a couple of hours on a Skype sessions with Blackstar's head dsp programmer... I was very impressed to say the least... Thank you again...

They haven't provided an update for the ID series in over a year with either software or firmware updates. To bad really because the amp has so much more potential to great. Today I stop holding my breathe and stop visiting this forum hoping to see an update. Not going to happen and even if it does ...

I'm having the same prob with my recently purchased 260. I only notice it with my strat, though. I guess subtle playing will be reserved for the clean settings. Sucks, though...I was really liking this amp. Same here, in fact any low output PU really exaggerates it and makes it very noticeable. Bee...

In my experience just about any update to Windows OS created issues with Silverlight.
After each update i have to uninstall and reinstall it.

Just about there myself. I payed more than I wanted to for this type of amp and although it does what it does fairly well. I would have invested in a tube amp had I known B* had plans to simply get Insider functioning and then completely bail on all ID series altogether. It's a shame really because ...
