Re: Stage 60 Loud Hissing on OD2

it sounds like a preamp tube, only due to every amp i have had that needs new tubes the clean is gone too. Pre tubes are cheap so i hope thats all it is and not part of the gain channel curcuitry.

Re: POD 500 HD Direct Return of the HT 40 - no sound - Support and Guidelines

Guys, When I made that connection the POD HD 500 into Blackstar HT 40 (Guitar-> POD In - Out POD -> Amp FX Return) has not left any sound. However, when I did this (Guitar-> Amp -> / Amp Send -> Input POD -> / Return Amp -> Output L POD), sound came out perfectly. 1) Why the first link (Guitar-> PO...

Re: Blackstar Venue in 4CM with new POD HDs

Just for my 2cents, i have heard a gt10 hooked up via 4cm and live it sounded awesome, but without the band by its self it was shitty to say the least. I have had about an hour with the HD500 and i can say its no better then any other digital pedal. I have nothing against it, but it wasnt for me, it...

auburnshredder wrote:I agree with GT....both of my amps were purchased used. Tubes are very simple to change out. I have an HT-20 not an HT-5, but I suspect the HT-5 would benefit from a tube upgrade, at least the preamp.
Mine loved the tung sol, gave the lead channel more bite!

Re: HT 100 for metal

lol, cheers for the info. but that vid almost put me off, sounds horrible, that could have easily been a line 6 Spider the guitarists were playing. Also, why on earth would a band cover KSE ?? Bad form. I play in a death metal band also, here is a more sutable clip to your tastes then, but alas thi...

Re: Speaker Swap

The rocket 50 is a better frizzby then a speaker, throw it out and get something nice, the ht-20 of mine likes scooped/trebly speakers, i have a gt-75 in mine with awesome results. here is a speaker comparison with the 75 and the v30 http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9595735 But any favourite speak...

Re: HT 100 for metal

I'm new to the Blackstar family, and love all the amps I've heard from them. I'm planning on buying a Series 1 200 Head later this year, but still need a head for gigging in the meantime. I was thinking of picking up an HT 100 as I love it's versitility, and over-all woody tone. I was thinking if I...

Re: First Tube Amp, couple Q's

HT-5 with a delay definitely sounds like that! very cool. The amp sounds good, not too noisy but at full gain and decent volume it will feedback as most amps do. seriously, if the amp doesnt do what you want it to do, then dont buy it :) but usually there is something terribly wrong when something i...

Re: Hi and a few questions...

i get great results by playing bass through my speaker on the clean channel for a few hours, really opens up the coils and gives the speakers it full Hz range.
