Maybe you should have got a modelling amp then. The ID TVP range sound great with headphones.
I tried the Blackstar HT-1R and the headphone sound on that was dreadful in comparison.

You can still buy them at Andertons. Both the head and combo. They are the R versions with reverb. Did you mean the previous version without reverb?

There is NO master on that amp. You just use the relevant volume control depending on what channel you're using.
