Re: Blackstar cat
Thanks, we have two cats and they like most of my home studio stuff. Amplifier, studio chair, guitar strings, monitors. At least I get some attention.

Actually, my cats like to have a rest on the amp (TVP260).

Re: Using DI Box with ID 260 TVP?
I use it for recording but use EO mainly with cleans. For distorted sound I prefer to mic it. No buzz, sometimes small noise but my noise pedan takes care of that.

Re: ID260 Issue
There is a thread about the foot controller in this forum. About the slow response. People solved it by midicontroller. Some suggestions in the thread.

Re: Blackstar HT-5 - How to use it clean/with Spark Booster
I tried various on my HT-5R. The OD and distortion did not do well in FX loop. Neither did sparc booster. It does not mean that things will be same since ODs and distortions differ, but it is easy to try. The EQ might do more when using OD and distortion. There is a video on youtube on the difference.

Re: Blackstar HT-5 - How to use it clean/with Spark Booster
Have you tried reverb and delay in the FX loop? I recently bought spark booster and have it last in front chain. With delay and reverb in FX loop. Also, an eq in loop can clear up.

Re: Using an ID:100 TVP with a bass?
I have no answer to your question really, but can add that I use HT5R and emulated output for recording. Slight OD and mix with clean signal by an ABY switch.

Re: Use of Microphone
Just try things out and ask in forums when you get stuck. I do that a lot (still learning). There is a lot to learn on mic positioning and whatever. Also, the mic can be used for acoustic guitar and vocals. I am practising on how to use mic to sing without sounding like donald duck.

Re: ID 260 TVP: Overdrive or distortion pedal for metal tone
One thing about pedals and amplifiers is that one pedal can work nice with one amplifier, but sound terrible with another brand of amplifier. You have to try out. In my opinion, there is no meaning to copy a sound. Find your own palm muted sound and use that.
