Dr Z Brake-Lite
Installed one of these attenuators in the back of my artisan 15 combo today! Had to turn the speaker 90 degrees so that I could plug it in without an extension speaker cable. Just fired it up though and it sounds great! I can get power tube breakup at reasonable volumes! When I say reasonable I don'...

Artisan 15 Preamp Valves
Has anyone tried different preamp valve combinations in channel 1 of the Artisan 15. I just got hold of a 12ay7 tube and was thinking of replacing the 1st valve with it. Is the 2nd 12ax7 tube used as a phase inverter or as part of the pre amp in channel 1? I'm trying to get an even bigger difference...

Hi Marco, Thanks for your reply and also for your video demos on youtube! You have great tone! Reminds me of John Mayer's lead tones. Also, your English is great! Re: standby switch for the ht-20?
I believe that if you pull the input cable out it automatically goes into standby.
So best way to turn on/off is to turn power on before you plug a jack in and off after you have pulled the jack out.

Artisan 15 for HT40 plus 1x12 cab?!
Guys, I need some input! I'm thinking of trading in my Artisan 15 and getting a HT40 combo (probably replace the stock speaker with an Alnico Gold). I find the Artisan too loud for some venues that we play, always mic'ed but often small stages. Not had chance to play the HT40 yet but it seems like i...
