Hello I tried to check the plate voltage and to bias the HT-40 and could not do it.Just before I tried it I did 2 more of my brothers Marshall's and they came out great but this Blackstar puzzles me.In the first picture I tried to touch the T10 and T18 bias point and nothing happened.Is this how you...

Hey guys today I biased my first amp and it was my brothers Marshall and it was very easy.Now I want to do my HT-40....I have a question...which resistor do I use to measure the bias and what mA's should the EL34L tubes be set too? I also want to check the plate voltage and where would the best plac...

I basically use my clean channel for pedals which include a couple of dirt pedals so I don't know if the Gold Lion would be worth it and also when I am on the OD channel.

I have the HT40....Thanks for the reply...I have been looking at the Tung Sol....Mullard...Electro-Harmonix and Genalex-Gold Lion...also would you suggest the same tubes for both positions?

Hey guys I just had my power output tubes changed to JJ Blue EL34L.I want to change my preamp tubes.Right now I still have the original Ruby 12ax7's......First off which position is the V1? What do you guys suggest I get and should I use the same tube for the V1 and Phase Inverter? Thanks.

This just happened to mine.At first there was some static and then it went to 1/2 volume.Then after a week there was no static it just went directly to 1/2 power with in a minute.I brought to my tech and it was one of the original Ruby tubes.He put in new JJ Blue EL34L in it and it's back to kicking...

I swapped my stock speaker for a Celestion G12 H Creamback 75W....It's a smoother sound compared to the harsh sound of the stock 70/80 speaker.

Not saying it was a problem just curious if anyone else had this issue and knew what it was
