amp is making popping noise

I've had my amp ten months now and it started making a popping noise today while I was playing. When I ordered the amp the first one they sent me done that straight out of the box, I sent it back and got a new one, now ten months later it's doing it. Has anyone experienced this, could it be a tube a...

Re: is it new tube time?

Update: I took the back off my amp and tightened every mounting screw I could find on the speaker, enclosure everything and now I'm back to that great tone I had before. I did notice that a few screws were lose cause I tightened them when my amp first arrived. Thanks for all the response guys!!!

Re: is it new tube time?

I use the same guitar every time, it's a Gibson les paul studio. I understand about tubes warming up. But that's not the issue. If it was a different guitar then yeah I'd say it was the pickups. I'll try the new string route some one recommended.

is it new tube time?

I've only had my ht 40 three months but the last two times I've played thru it, it sounds dull. It's not lively, in your face like it was. Surely it's not time to change tubes already is it? I only play about once or twice a week for maybe an hour at a time. Please help!

Re: Are Blackstar Amps Good Amps?

Thanks for the replies, I to believe it was either a bad tube or faulty ground. I'm currently waiting on the new one I sent it back yesterday. I really want to love this amp cause it is so versatile! If I want ac/dc type OD it's there, Stevie Ray Vaughan it's there, Judas priest its there, etc etc e...

Are Blackstar Amps Good Amps?

I recently purchased a Blackstar HT 40 Venue. When I received it I turned it on,let it warm up an started playing. Being a brand new amp I gradually turned it up as to let the new tubes "settle in." After about forty five minutes the amp started popping really bad an the OD indicator light kept blin...

Re: Back to the trusty old Tube Screamer.

I've realized that a pedal can't compare with the amps own OD channel. So I look for amps( tube) that has the OD sound I want. There is drawbacks to this being with a pedal you can take it with you if the venue your playing has a back line already in place! But the pro is it's built in with the amp....
