Latest version of Insider
So is Insider version 181 the latest version of this software? I was just looking at the product info for the ID:Core v2 and it seems the software offered for this latest series also uses this old version which I have for my old ID:Core 40 v1. Surely they're offering something a bit more up to date ...

Re: So updating firmware killed your amp
So you got nowhere with Blackstar support at all? Doesn't sound good. You could ask Guitar Center to check and update the firmware for you before you receive it, hopefully they would do that for you. Also I think it's a shame you're going to be to worried about hooking it up after this, because it's...

Re: So updating firmware killed your amp
I'll take it from the lack of replies, there is no recovery process when a failed update bricks your amp. Please Blackstar, if there is some way of doing this, then publish (post) the methods to recover the amp from a failed firmware update, and sticky the post somewhere in these forums so people ca...

I also think they should make an appearance occasionally, might help spread a bit of confidence in their products
So do I as it happens.Arcadio wrote:They do provide a free forum for us to blabber on, so there's that.

Re: Downloads not working on Blackstar Insider - MAC
Not sure about using a Mac, but on a PC the default save location on your computer for your patches is Documents/Blackstar/Saved Patches.
Download them to that folder and they should show up. So what ever the equivalent place is on a Mac should do the trick.
Hope this helps.

Re: OD1 & OD1 cut out
Found it in settings Thanks man Cool. Is it working as it should now? If yes, then happy days. ;) Can't believe BS hasn't addressed this problem in these new amps, it's been going on for ages throughout the ID: range. They should have added this as a switch on the actual amp rather than a software ...

Re: OD1 & OD1 cut out
If it's like the smaller ID: Core amps there's a noise gate on OD1 and ID2 it's also way too sensitive. Install the insider software on a PC and plug the amp in via usb, you'll then be able to turn the noise gate off.
Hopefully that'll cure your problem.

Re: ID core 40 to Kustom 4x12 problem? Please help (rookie)
The cab doesnt have a stereo switch. Just two inputs, and it listed as a stereo cab which utilizes one side if in mono, both if in stereo. This is the second blackstar I have had, and neither have had an update to firmware, however, this one was checked before it was sent to me as working on anothe...
