Cabinet emulation should work with the combo speaker.
Today I tried running the emulated out of my HT-1R combo directly into my studio monitors. It sounded much better than the raw sound coming out of the combo speaker. This makes me wonder something: if the amp has a cabinet emulation circuit that can give it the full, rich sound of a cabinet, why not...

Re: The most odd thing about HT-1
At least it isn't blue. I can't stand it when an otherwise good piece of gear has a little blue searchlight shooting up out of the top.

Re: Love the HT-1RH, how about an fx loop?
The FX loop is a really glaring omission. Especially when the amp has no tone stack and the cabinet emulation on the line out cannot be disabled. What were they thinking?

Re: Anyone for "Gus G" tone? (New HT dirt pedal)
Wow! That’s one hell of a demo. Sounds like the HT-5 with the gain cranked and an overdrive in front of it to tighten the sound. That pedal with monitors is going to be every bedroom shredder’s perfect setup.

HT-5 Wish lit
At some point I expect to see Blackstar upgrade the HT-5 design to keep up with the competition. What features would make you willing to cough up more money for a better HT-5? Things I would love to see are:
• Ability to disable the cabinet emulation on line-out.
• Per-channel tone controls.

Re: The birth of a hardrockband!
You really need to explain this whole starting a band without a guitar story. Hopefully it’s some kind of Ramones/Banshees we-can’t-actually-play-music story.

Re: Lets help Blackstar HT Avenue Amps get noticed.
Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense for Blackstar to record some good clips on their time and their dime? They’re the ones who keep putting PR copy about how great their gear sounds and how versatile it is…so how about some decent clips?

Re: HT-5 headphone output
Cheers - my thought was also that the amp would need the impedence loading of the speaker(s) in order to remain running cool so I think I'm going to follow suit and leave a speaker plugged in. As I understand it using the headphone jack bypasses the power amp. Hopefully it also shuts it down entire...
