Gig yesterday with HT Club 40

HT Club 40, clean channel, with an analogue delay in the effect loop and a clean boost pedal for solos:

Re: i need a footswitch for HT40... is impossibile

I use a Marshall PEDL-91001 dual latching pedal with my HT Club 40, and it works fine.

Re: Taming volume

That's an option too, but it only uses the preamp...not the power amp. The EO has it's uses but you do lose a lot of the tonal qualities of the amp. That may be so, but if he wants to lower the volume for apartment use, then it's an option. 99% of us (myself included) probably wouldn't notice any d...

Gig last night with HT Club 40

Not sure if people will be able to see this (being a facebook share), but here goes:

The guitar's a Squier Jim Root tele, with Tonerider Alnico II PAF Classic pickups, plugged straight into the HT Club 40 (clean, out).

Re: Taming volume

You could use the amp in standby mode, and plug the emulated output into your computer, or a stereo etc.

Re: Using Delay Pedal on Overdrive Channel - Issue

I've experienced this with different amps (both valve and transistor). The more you distort the channel, the worse it gets. Moving the delay to the effects loop might work, but don't be surprised if it doesn't. At gig volumes, I've always found that extreme distortion is unnecessary - mild overdrive...

Re: Greetings. Just got a used HT Club 40.

I did post some photos showing how I've addressed the issue of rattling valves, but they haven't been added yet (still awaiting moderation?). Anyway, on another note, I plugged the emulated output into my PA (with all controls on the mixer set neutral) and... absolutely brilliant! I also own a Fende...

Re: Greetings. Just got a used HT Club 40.

Thanks for the reply. I think I've fixed it. The rattle appeared to be from the spring-loaded clips on the power valves, so I cut up one of those silicone things my wife has in the kitchen and wrapped it around the clips, making sure there was no metal touching the glass at any point. http://i1130.p...

Greetings. Just got a used HT Club 40.

Hi all. I've just bought a used HT Club 40 so thought I'd register here to share comments etc. I'm very pleased with the amp so far - it looks like it'll cover a lot of different sounds. One thing I noticed yesterday: turned up very loud, I heard a rattle when playing certain notes. The pencil test ...
