Re: HT1R More Clean Headroom?

......... or more sensitive speaker(s) And yes a bigger cab can/will give you more volume before breakup (headroom) if it has sensitive speakers in. even the HT408Metal cab for instance which has four of the same speakers which the combo has one of is a lot louder than the combo for a given volume s...

Re: Tube Sockets & Tube Pins

The Orange speaker cab is no where near as good as the HT1R "as a speaker" , I tried one with the HT1R and compared to the internal and no contest whatsoever so using the Micro-terror into one is crippling it ......... funny thing is that the Dark Terrors (Micro and normal) seem to shine when when u...

Re: HT1 R Head with an Orange PCC108 1x8 Micro Terror Cab

Yup, it does but doesn`t sound as good as the HT1R combo .. less breathing space in the cab and the speaker isn`t as good is my guess . My advice would be to skip that and try and find the older 1X10 Blackstar cab, it even had a celestion in

Re: HT-1RH not hearing any reverb

First thing I did when I plugged into an HT1RH was hear there was no reverb, no EQ and it wasn't very loud .......... reason being that Blackstar reversed everything and I`d plugged into the MP3 player socket, I`m used to the inpuit socket being on the left on heads - LOL .

Re: Replacement Chrome Corners HT1

My HT1 already has metal corners, the paint scratches off them at the drop of a hat - I`d check yours because the paint does make them look like plastic .......

Answer is to remove the corners and leave them in paint stripper of some kind - anything that`ll remove cellulose car paint at a guess

Re: Annoying Buzzing from HT-1

The back cover is the chassis of the amp held down with loads of screws, is it an electricl buzz, if so then look for earthing issues (bad mains lead, loose sockets, loose PCB mounting screws inside) - or mechanical (loose screws alround inside and out......... BTW to take the "back off" (chassis ou...

Re: Annoying Buzzing from HT-1

Try changing the preamp valve ---> When I got mine used (it was my first valve amp since the 80s) a few months ago there was a very noticeable hum along with the sound especially on clean where you need the volume flat out (Could never have recorded with it) and put it down to it being a valve amp a...

Re: Using effects with Blackstar HT1R

Yeah, some pedals simply don`t work in an FX loop because the levels and impedances are wrong - I tried a Vox pedal MultiFX in the HT5M Combos loop and it was awful because it was too low output for the line level needed for the return as well as being overdriven by the send, the switch on the amp d...

Re: Using effects with Blackstar HT1R

Pedals generally work and sound better in front of the amp - even multi FX like the VOX Stompbox and Line-6 Pod, because this is how they were designed to be used with the levels and impedances of guitar in and guitar amp`s guitar input out taken into consideration ...... it`s Rack gear FX such as L...
