Re: HT Club 40 mod question
Given that the clean and overdrive channels are basically separate channels, I think it would be a pretty extensive modification. Maybe something else to try would be to work on settings for the overdrive channel, for it to be as clean as possible. Voice-switch out (for the lower-gain, "classic crun...

Re: Product naming question
OK, HT = High Tension (British equivalent of High Voltage) makes sense.
Thanks for the explanation.

Product naming question
This is probably aimed more at any Blackstar employees who watch the forum, but I am curious as to what the HT stands for, in some of the product lines (if it stands for anything)? I suppose in practice it is applied to the tube-equipped products, or at least most of them. But I am still curious abo...

Re: Emulated headphone output
No, the emulated speaker output is just that, an output. All they are saying is that the same kind of guitar cord/lead that you would ordinarily use between the guitar and the amp input, can also be used to carry the emulated-out signal TO a PA system or mixing board.

Re: Blackstar HT Club 40 Deluxe - what speaker comes stock?
Yes, the current "Deluxe" version comes with the so-called A-Type speaker - which seems to retail for a bit more money than the Seventy/80, but not as much as most of Celestion's better speakers. The old HT Club 40 "Special Edition" model of a couple/few years ago was (IMO) a nicer upgrade model, as...

Re: LOUD POP noise when switching between channels/voices
Zdenek, That's interesting, that you don't hear the popping sound when you listen to the emulated-out. That doesn't rule out a problem with the circuitry that's downstream from the emulated-out, but it does rule out (I think) the pre-amp circuitry. I suppose some switching noise might be coupling in...

Re: Dumb question about Blackstar logo color
Thanks, Enlive. I guess the white appearance of the logo in many photos of the HT amps is just an artifact of the lighting in the photograph.

Dumb question about Blackstar logo color
OK, I realize that this is of zero consequence, but the Blackstar logo on my recently-purchased HT Club 40 seems to be the cream-colored version, whereas in most pictures I see on the web, the HT amps (usually, anyway) look like they have the white-colored logo. In the company web-store, they say th...

Re: Speaker Swap For the HT-40?
Although I've only had my HT Club 40 a short while, and the Seventy 80 isn't even broken in yet, I have already started thinking about a replacement speaker. Despite the Vintage 30 being very popular, and also somewhat "sanctioned" by BS (since they put it in the "Special Edition" versions), I'm not...

Re: HT SOLOIST 60 PROBLEM
Not to be Captain Obvious, but if the voice switch for the clean channel is in the out position, you are going to get some crunch/breakup at higher volumes. Does it clean up at all if you push the voice switch in? If it is only happening with the master volume cranked up fairly high, then maybe it i...
