You need a cable with a 6,3 mm plug on the amp side and a 3,5 mm plug on the IMac side.
My recommendation would be to get a simple audio interface which gives you more control and I would expect better sound quality than the IMac. In this case you would need a 6.3/6.3 cable

Wich operating system do you use? Are you sure, that in system settings your audio output is set to your ID Core?

I believe firmware is 1.3. It was installed when I first started the software. I found out, it is an on/off thing. It did not work for days. Now it is sometimes working. I do not know anything about the footswitches. But if you press the "manual" button for 3 seconds the tuner will be activated. The thre led next to the effect know work as indicator for the tuner.
