Re: bias circuit not adjusting HT Club 40
I had that same problem and it turned out to be a bad screen resistor. Don't know what caused it though, maybe a bad tube.

I think that’s the way it’s designed. Mine does the same. Really great if you want loud and clean.

6L6 tube swap
I see the new HT Club 40 Black and Blue using 6L6 tubes. Can I swap out the EL 34's in my HT Club 40 MK II for 6L6's? Has anyone tried this?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Blackstar HT Club 40
Sounds like a pre-amp tube. Same thing happened to mine after 9 mos. Try swapping the two smaller tubes. (amp off and unplugged of coarse) If the problem switches to the other channel then just replace the tube. No biasing or anything else necessary.

Re: Speaker Swap For the HT-40?
For all you tube swappers, I tried the Tung Sols in both position. Not much better than the originals. But then I put a TAD 7025WA Highgrade in V1. Much nicer tone. Hard to explain but even my wife noticed it. She has a very good ear for music even though she doesn't play an instrument. I guess list...

Re: HT Club 40 Mkii clean channel preamp tube swap problem
That's strange. I put Tungsols in both channels after the TAD died in the OD channel after 9 months. My clean channel came with a Ruby 12AX7. No problem whatsoever and the Tungsols sound great. Try cleaning the contact pins on the new tubes. Good luck.

Re: HT Club 40 MK II
I found my answer after talking to a Blackstar engineer. The ground does float at 100 ohms.

HT Club 40 MK II
My new single coil equipped guitar is buzzing but goes away when you touch the strings. I checked the ground on the guitar and it is good. Don't have another amp to try it in. I measured resistance from the cable ground (plugged into the amp only) and the ground lug where the power cable plugs in. I...
