Speaker Popping in Standby
Hey, I noticed the other day that if I'm playing through the headphones in standby, if I turn my overdrive pedal up too much, the speaker will start popping during loud notes, like the signal is getting through to the power section of the amp. Is this some protection thing or an issue? Pretty regula...

I use either at home for a wet/dry/wet rig with either of the stereo tube power amps and vertical 2x12's with either a 4x12 or 1x12 in the center. I gig with the Artist 15 lately, but I'm considering ...

That's wild! I bet it sounds way better than its predecessors though (lookin' at you, Synsonics). You should make a video demo sometime.

Re: Blackstar Rackmount Pre-amp Anyone?
Was Googling and found this thread. I'm thinking about putting my HT-5 Metal either in a rack case as a head in foam or taking the amp's chassis and putting it into a shelf or drawer or empty rackmount chassis of some sort. I like using its power section at home or for small jams but it sounds reall...

Re: Returning to Blackstar
I can't speak to the ID series but I've got an HT-5RH Metal that I keep on the desk these days and leave in standby usually with the DI going into an old 2:1 PC speaker set. It sounds like a monster in a jar, especially with another overdrive in front of it. Back when I was living alone I would just...

It works, no reverb though.

I've got the "metal" version as a head and it's pretty much the same but I rarely get past 9 o'clock on the gain. With single coils facing it in a small room it's pretty squealy. Honestly a 1W amp is plenty without a drummer. The 5 watt'er can keep up with a moderate drummer and bassist, but gets wa...

FX send without return?
Can you do that on these? It's on the metal version if that matters. I know you can do the opposite but that's not what I'm curious about. Also, if you can do it, you wouldn't have reverb right?
