Darned thing's heavy now though. Thinking of trying it with 1 speaker.

Now I have decent tubes in I know I have the right amp. If it had had decent tubes in I would've bought it straight off. You can say I bought it eventuall...

I'd like to know what the ECC82 does. I'm happy with JJs for the 83s but I'm still using the stock 82 and wondered if I'd improve things by replacing it. From memory the 82 is the second from the left looking from the back. That's in the combo.

So what you're saying is that 2 x 200 watt amps aren't loud enough so you're amplifying them further. Nope - I'm still confused. What sort of gigs do you play?

Sold my hotplate. No matter what anyone says I think they sound boxy. Why are you using 2 200 watt amps and attenuating them?
