Re: Gain Issue HT-5R

Mine is exactly the same and it's only 2 months old so I'd consider it normal.

Re: HT-5R Combo: How to reveal the circuit board??

Have you tried removing the little black screws on the back panel, they maybe what's holding the chassis to the panel?

Re: Ht-5r reliability ?

My HT5-R suffered from the over heating issue and was dealt with very promptly, it was returned to me via Andertons after being repaired within a week. The amp has been on perminant loan to my Nephew for the past 2 1/2 years who uses it every day with no further problems at all. The internet can be ...

Re: Yet another valve question

Just wondering if it's a heat related problem, a valve or other component failing once a certain temperature is reached and then once cooled down becoming operational again?

Just a thought!

Re: Blackstar HT1R Speaker swap - Blackbird 15 =>Jensen C8R

Thanks for sharing your findings, I fitted a Celestian 8-15 to mine and find it a vast improvement over the Blackbird. I also changed out the valves using the Watford Valves upgrade kit which you may want to check out, they now have a choice of two kits depending on what tone you're going for. I wen...

Re: HT-5R Combo crackling

Does it crackle when using the emulated output/headphones, if not it probably confirms the power tube suggestion.

Re: HT1R where is the reverb unit located?

I'm no expert but I guess it's between the pre and poweramp because when using the emulated out the poweramp section isn't working but the reverb does, but hey what do I know :?:

When they said the valves wrong way around, they might mean that the preamp valve is in the power valve socket and the power valve is in the preamp socket??
Is that possible, arn't the power/preamp valves a different diameter? :?

Re: Blackstar.....never ever buy one again, ever ever.

Did you buy the amp new? If you did I can't understand why your paying your dealer to rapair it. Assuming you have a full Blackstar warrenty you should deal directly with them, they would have advised you in what course of action to take. I had a problem with my HT5 combo and it was returned to Blac...
