Just wondering if it's a heat related problem, a valve or other component failing once a certain temperature is reached and then once cooled down becoming operational again?

Does it crackle when using the emulated output/headphones, if not it probably confirms the power tube suggestion.

I'm no expert but I guess it's between the pre and poweramp because when using the emulated out the poweramp section isn't working but the reverb does, but hey what do I know

Did you buy the amp new? If you did I can't understand why your paying your dealer to rapair it. Assuming you have a full Blackstar warrenty you should deal directly with them, they would have advised you in what course of action to take.
