My advice though, without investing time into researching an amp you might regret. These are pricey amps (kick ass nonetheless) but be wise in your investment.

Re: New speakers
S1-45 or S1 head with 212....
Either way.....Vintage 30 and T-75......compliments each other very very well.

Re: Blackstar S1 104 6L6
Bump!!! howdy boys, well as I said on the first page or so, I managed to swap one of the WGS Vet 30 with an HM 75........What a killer combo. The HM 75 introduced a bit of high end definition, I don't have to crank treble and the presence. I am actually thinking of getting another HM75 in the near f...

Re: Series One 100 Re-Tube
Hi, you can do anything to any amp, but is it worth it?
Try to swap he EL34 with KT77, they are direct replacements and sound tonally similar to 6L6.
The bias has to be adjusted of course but no dramatic mods.
Good luck

Re: Best pedal for driving the front end?
If you're interested in the OCD, I would highly recommend looking at a MXR Custom Badass Modified Overdrive. I had a v4 OCD that I A/B'd against the MXR and ending up selling my OCD. I could make the MXR sound exactly like the OCD at all settings and then use the additional controls to further twea...

Re: HT60 Stage Rattle and Buzz
The stage 60 is capable of shaking up buildings, open up the back cover, ensure that all screws are tightened.....cab bracing, speakers and amp screws as well. Ensure that all tubes are seated properly. Next try to tap the power tubes with a pencil whil the amp is on and loud...tube components being...

Re: Blackstar HT-40 - possibilties? Tubes/Speakers/Tweeks etc
Hey man, welcome on board..... The HT range are great amps and the HT 40 is a sweet combo. Speakers are where the magic happens mainly, so let us start there... The HT range is generally dark sounding, so you keep that in mind while shopping for a speaker...the amps take the Celestion V 30, WGS Vet ...
