Re: Blackstar Series One Master Volume Question
Thought I would give everyone an update. I have the new to me 100 watter in the house. Both the ISF and Master Volume work as they should, confirming for me what I already thought I knew. The ISF wasn't working right on the 50 watter either. And the amp isn't really that loud for a 100 watt amp. Mus...

Re: Series 1 100 Can you pull two tubes?
I know that 100 watts is only 3dbs louder than a 50 watter, but I thought I might want that 3db. Now that I have the 100 watter, I am not concerned about it. This amp isn't that loud compared to other 100 watters I have owned. My 50 JCM 800 is louder than this amp.

Re: Blackstar Series One Master Volume Question
I was able to jam on the 50 watter for about a week before I sent it back. It was perfectly timed with a guitar buddy of mine in town for a visit. Neither of us had ever played the Series One, and were both quite impressed. I have a 412 loaded with V-30's and a 212 Marshall cab loaded with Greenback...

I love the time you put into making an interesting speaker demo. Really well done. The V-30 definitely brought out the life in that amp.

Re: Blackstar Series One Master Volume Question
So I did return the 50 watter. But because I now have the Blackstar itch I pulled the plug on a Series One 100. Felt good about the price, and since you can run these amps down to 10 watts anyway I am now worried about it being to much of a beast for my needs. Amp should arrive on Tuesday.

Re: Blackstar Series One Master Volume Question
That one has been on eBay for quite awhile and is listed as an online return. Apparently looking at the description it didn't handle being shipped very well. Doesn't seem to be in bad condition, but a few screws and a knob are missing and some slight cosmetic wear. I thought about bidding on it, but...

Re: Blackstar Series One Master Volume Question
Sounds like something isn't right. The master volume on my S1 200 works perfectly fine, and I do notice the tonal change with the ISF knob. I would definitely send it back. I had to replace a part on my amp and had to go through a Korg USA authorized repair shop. The part I needed had to get ordere...
