I've got an ID60 head which I love, I assume its on the original firmware because I've never updated it.
And reading all the problems with updates over the last few months , I don't think I ever will.
I like it as it is , and it works fine.
so "if it aint broke"

Re: About the ID SERIES "Bottom End" thread
Im Playing mild rock covers most of the time , Id never noticed any lack of bottom end with my ID60 head. But I had a Metallica tribute band gig recently , and could not dial in as much bass as I would have liked. Don't get me wrong it still sounded great , but I would have liked a bit more low end ...

Re: Wah/ volume or multi fx
if you use a FCB1010 as the footswitch , you can use the expression pedals to control volume.
that's what I'm doing , works great

Hey all, picked myself up a ID60 head as a backup to my main rig. lets just say , a month down the track the ID60 is now my main rig !!! this thing sounds phenomenal !! I can believe it hasn't caused a bigger stir in the industry to be honest. I gigged it with a band I am filling in for on the weeke...

+1 on a HT40 head.
I am a head and cab guy , I would buy one if Blackstar made it.

Re: HT-Metal Emulated Output = NOISE!
I dont have a solution , but I found the same thing with my ht-dual pedal. Sounds great in front of an amp , but if you use the emulated output into a PA , you get all sorts of noise and mine even picks up radio stations !!! weird. its a shame , because I have recorded using the emulated output and ...

Re: Dead HT Dual Pedal
The "glow" of the tube is provided by a backlight led , so the tube still could be the problem.
I would try that first , if that doesnt work its time to take it to a service agent.
is it still under warranty ?

Re: Dual Sounds Better Than Venue
The HT-Dual really is a nice pedal.
Ive never been a distortion pedal kind of guy , Ive always relied on my amps for my crunch sounds.
But as soon as I tried the HT-dual I had to buy it and its been on my pedalboard ever since.

Re: HT-DUAL modifications ???
Just an update on this , no-one could advise a way to mod this pedal.
Ive worked around it by dialing in ch2 as my main crunch sound now , and using ch1 as a slightly dirty sound.
Ive also tried a couple of different 12ax7 tubes in it , but in the end the stock sovtek tube sounded best to my ears.
