Re: HT100 Metal Settings?
You'll probably get better responses by removing this and re-posting it in the "Shared Settings" sub-forum.

Re: HT Stage 100 and Eleven Rack
I'm not familiar with the Eleven Rack, but assuming it has a preamp out, you should just be able to slave the amp to it. Just connect the preamp out to the Return jack on the amp. You may have to "stub out" the send and input jacks on the amp to get it to work.

Re: HT60 blowing ed every 2 to 3 yeaand making crackling noi
Crackling is a sure sign that electricity is finding a path to ground inside the amp that it should not have (i.e. - a short). Blowing a fuse (or fuses) is the amps defense mechanism to protect itself from said short. Replacing said fuse and trying again is like spinning the barrel of the gun when p...

Re: Blackstar Pedal connection and positioning
Despite what some people will tell you, there are no rules when it comes to placing pedals in a signal path. However, there are suggestions and the real question is: Do you place them in front of the amp (between your guitar and the amps input) or in the effects loop (which will insert it between th...

Re: 7 String/Low Tuning - Venue HT 60
When you start messing with low alternate tunings, it is really more about what the speaker can do. The 70/80 speaker in the HT-60 is decent, but not great. In other words, it will sound OK but, with the right speaker the amp will really shine. It might be cheaper to get an HT-50 head and find a cab...

Re: HT5H Emulated Output
^^^What he said. Tube amps sound their best when the volume is cranked up and the output stage is pushing the power tube(s) hard. The EO essentially bypasses the entire output stage. So for strictly low volume and headphone use, you are better off with a digital modeling amp like something from the ...

Re: Main difference between HT5 head and HT5R Head
I don't believe there is a difference between the OD channels of the two versions. The main difference is the addition of reverb. I will say that the OD on the HT5-R is perfectly capable of doing metal tones. I haven't heard the OD on the HT5 Metal, but it's advertised as having even more gain than ...

Re: HT cab speaker change
It really depends on the sound you are going for. If you think Celestions are too thin you might want a more American voiced speaker (emphasis on the lower mids instead of the uppers). In that case, Eminence Texas Heat's or even Swamp Thang's might be right up your alley.

Re: Main difference between HT5 head and HT5R Head
The biggest difference is reverb...the HT5-RH has it, the HT5-H does not. Some of the circuitry is different, but it was more a streamlining (to make room for and add the revrb circuit) as opposed to a complete re-design. Aside from changing brands, the tube types (12AX7 & 12BH7) are the same, so th...

Re: Emulated Out DI Box?
You should be able to go from the EO to the board. Most likely, you sent an unbalanced signal (EO) to a balanced input on the board. The board then cancelled the signal since it didn't have an out of phase version (which is how balanced systems reduce noise). That board does have line level 1/4" inp...
