Re: Ht-1R through 2xHT-408s?
Hi all I recently purchased a HT-1R combo and am now running it through a ht-408 4x8" extension cabinet... It sounds great at volumes that aren't crazy... Has anyone ran this amp through two HT-408s? If so, is it worth purchasing another for any tone/'bigness of sound' benefit? Cheers Hi Loren, I'm...

Re: unable to download patches from online forum
Hi spdruce, I had a similar experience recently. I'd not bothered with the insider software, but had a spare afternoon... Was a bit gutted that it won't work with the current apple software. Eventually got it running with an older computer, but then struggled to download any patches. There is a work...

Re: Blackstar ID150H 150W Digital Guitar Head $299
Hi Johnny, My guess would be no. But I'm not the biggest Ohm guy. All I know is that mismatching Ohm's leads to trouble. I feel your pain, I bought an ID100 head and cab thinking I could run my HT5 through it. But it's a 4 Ohm cab, and the HT5 is 16/8... I HAVE done it (with a bit of re-wiring), and...

Re: Effects Loop problem on HT5
Hi Darren, Reading your post, it sounds like you're using one lead... The effects loop is designed to be just that, a loop. You'll need two leads. Lead one goes from 'send' to your first pedal/multi effects input (where your guitar would normally connect) Lead two goes from the last pedal in the cha...

Re: ID 30 TVP no power
Hi Keenbee, When you say the fuse is good, do you mean the one in the plug/lead, or the one inside the amp? I'd open it up (unplugged, obviously) and check any fuses I spotted on the circuit boards for continuity with a multimeter. Please use a properly insulated tester/tools, or find someone who ha...

Hi Paul,
Can't really help with this, but have you tried contacting Blackstar directly? (I don't think they monitor the forums)
Hope it gets sorted out,

Re: What noise level should I expect
Hi Nigel, I was just about to start preaching about screened cables, but then scrolled down and saw you were already converted! It's always worth spending more on cables. And ALWAYS use a proper speaker cable with heads and cabs, not an old guitar lead! Guitarists are a weird bunch. We spend a fortu...

Hi Joey,
I'd recommend Hotrox UK. I get all my valves from them. JJ's are pretty splendid to my ears...

Re: Breath problem, ht5rh head.
Hi Sadja, Forgive me, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'Breath'. I'm guessing you mean interference/washy static/radio interference? If so, use good quality SCREENED leads. And make sure you're using a proper speaker lead, not an old guitar one! Hope this helps, sorry if I'm stating the obviou...
