Re: ID100TVP HEAD Problems

Hi Kodiak, Wow. That's puzzling. Obviously no real idea of what to suggest without being there. I'm assuming you've done all the usual checks? (is there an output from the guitar? Is the lead knackered? Have you tried the same guitar/lead with a different amp?) I've got the same amp. I had it in bit...

Re: Opinions on Blackstar amps?

Evening all, The HT-5 is a no brainer in my opinion. It's a fantastic little amp. I downgraded from a Marshall stack to a Tiny Terror & cab years ago, then added an HT-5 stack. The TT was on Ebay a week later! I had a Series 1 45 combo, which was lovely but too loud for my needs. I've recently bough...

Re: Ht 5 issue, low volume after few minutes

Hi Andrzej,

If you've replaced the valves, my first guess would be a capacitor issue. Have you tried contacting Blackstar directly?
They're really helpful on the phone. Not sure how much support is going on at the moment though, due to lockdown.. :(

ID:100 Refurb Vids....

Evening all, So, recently I bought a cheap ID:100TVP head and cab. It was in a sorry state, so I decided to have a go a re-covering it. I stuck the results on YouTube. I'll stick a link to the first vid (there are five!) below. If you're thinking about doing it, DO IT! It's not that difficult if you...

Like a line6 m13
Shouldn't do mate, it's a Blackstar. Just set a nice clean sound with no effects and have at it. :)

Re: Loop ¿+4db vs -10db?

Hi, a question for connoisseurs. I have a Blackstar amplifier that has an effect loop and the ability to select + 4db and -10db. In this loop I will connect a zoom pedal, the MS-70CDR that has reverb, chorus, delay, etc. Modulations only. I would like to know what position I would have to put, if +...

Re: TVP Problem - Valve models randomly switch.

Hi All, I've had this happen once on my ID100TVP head, but put it down to a glitch/temperature/humidity thing.. However, I'm currently refurbing a friends ID260 combo. The TVP switch has been snapped off the front of the panel (no idea how) leaving, well - a sheared off knob. I'm about to contact Bl...

Well, that went rather well...

Here’s a before and after:

I’ll probably stick some ‘during’ pics up soon, but I’m chuffed with the result!

Re: ID:100TVP Head & Cab Refurb

Hello! Well, a solid weekend in the shed means the head and cab (and my knuckles) are now stripped, sanded and generally patched up ready for their new skin (which arrived yesterday). I've gone for an oxblood Leatherette, which is similar to Tolex but a lot cheaper to buy in the uk. We'll have to se...

ID:100TVP Head & Cab Refurb

Evening all, I've just bought a second hand ID:100TVP head & cab that's in need of some TLC. I functions perfectly, but looks as if it's been dragged behind the van after the gigs it's done  I'm planning to refurb it, and thought I'd join the forum to post updates on how well (or badly) I get o...
