you could use the insider software make a patch, save it then use an fs-12 footswitch, its possible there's a dry solder joint making a bad contact, you could take the amp apart and resolder that pot.

connect you amp and computer via usb and install insider software, once connected to insider a popup window will tell you, if you need
to update and you can also see what firmware you already.

CaptainSensible, not everyone knows this board exists, and not every musician has the time or wherewithal to be bothered, im not trying to slight you for your comment either..perhaps if blackstar owners put it out there, this site exists, the sight would get more members.

i see there a firmware update for my amp, i read you have to use the a rear pc usb port ? what about laptop usb's can i use my laptop, if so what usb port i have 4


(sorted it) any usb port on laptop will work, i used windows 7.

so what was wrong with it, id like to know whats inside thats so special no one can fix them except blackstar... i repair electronic devices so im a bit mmmm. my id core is not broke, but i might take it apart to see is guts..so to speak.
