i own the 15 and 30
i both practice and gig with both (smaller rooms)

they are BOTH louder than i ever need
both sound GREAT
both cover everything but the hardest metal
both take pedals like a tube amp

i have zero gripes and only praise for these 2 amps

my id 30 and 15 have zero latency after the update. wish i could say that about my horribly expensive Mesa's

Same here on an ID30. Surprisingly the noise is the least on the crunch setting on my amp. You'll see it vanish a good or most amount, if you disengage the True Valve Power switch. both of them are dead silent even on my high gain satch/vai patches

i have read of the noise problem but once again, mine are dead silent.

i have the gate turned totally off. never had any need for it.

i swapped tubes and speakers on my ht5r and ht1 combos

made ZERO difference to my ears

just sold my ht5r combo for the same reason

i checked every inch of the amp, tightened every screw, replace tubes, replaced speaker the rattle drove me nuts.
it ratteled at ALL volume levels.

Well that information is available, i have read that before I bought the amp. Sorry to say, but you should have checked before buying this amp! i scoured the 'net, the forums and blackstar site and found NOTHING telling me the 30 would not have a loop after the upgrade. i called bs and they told me...

boy that really sucks. i loop constantly and cant use my looper with the 30. i had no idea that the 30 firmware wouldnt creat a virtual loop
