u r absolutely right, I am saving up for Presonus Firestudio Tube now after this weekend experience, to be able to record whole band.I will probably start with Presonus Firestudio Mobile as you can stack to get more ins and outs. The XMAX preamps are simply superb. Clear as bell and Frewire is the only way.
I always used USB and now I can see the advantage of the Firewire no load on PC at all.

How are you panning your guitar tracks? I like to leave them fully panned for the most clarity, usually 2 tracks each side, 4 tracks all up.ffooxx wrote:Another unfinished test to aim for good recording(not there yet)

Yes I do the same.
One folder track for each guitar where 2 tracks recorded with e906 and SM58 and panned hard left and do the same for hard right.
I also apply time shift on one side 0.5 ms, then i put an fx channel and put eq (to cut the boomy bass) and compression
