Hey guys,
First clip is the HT-5 combo ran through a Randall 1x12 Greenback cab mic'd with an SM57. Guitar used is an Ibanez RG350DX, using the bridge pickup, going for an AC-DC type tone (more power tube saturation than preamp)....
Amp settings:
Gain: 2-3
Volume: 8
Bass: 7
Mid: 4
Treble: 7
ISF: 0
It's a little fizzy, probably due to the mic position, this is actually the first time I'd mic'd this cab.......

Second clip is the Ibanez middle pickup, into a POD X3Live (using the ProCo Rat simulation) with the '57 slightly off-axis to kill some of the fizz. I also used a rotaty speaker simulation & reverb in the daw, going trying for a Trower/Hendrix type thing.......

New cab, Celestion Greenback!!!!
Thanks Majik,
I went a little overboard with the rotary effect, it's too much....and, you're right, Trower's sound is a lot cleaner & brighter.....
Thanks for the listen & coments!!!!!
I'll have more clips in a couple days, as I'm loading all my gear up Thursday & taking it to a local church to track guitars & vocals......hopefully, the acoustics will be pretty good there, should be an improvement over the 12x12 room I use here.....
Thanks again!!!
