Is 60 watts enough power to run with a 4X12 cabinet...or even another 2X12s? I have a lot of questions and concerns with this amp before I buy one...this is a big one. I don't have the cash to go with the head and cabinet at this time...so I'm trying to get as much out of the stage 60 as I can.

YES, the wattage of the amp is not key here and as you can see a lot of videos on Youtube that Blackstar ht-5 head is being used quite heavily with 4x12 cabinets. The only thing is that with such a low wattage the speakers will not be driven as hard therefore the sound may not be articulated as good as it is all in the chain and all needs to be balanced.

cool...thanx man. Any suggestions on a cabinet that might go well with the ht-60 stage? Should I try to find something with a lower wattage rating to get a more defined sound?

I think the best way is to go on the internet and see what you may like(speakers, look and feel) and then try to arrange with your local guitar shop to try it out. There is a plenty you can choose from and also some custom cab builders eg. Avatar - YOUTUBE IS YOUR FRIEND ON THIS :)

It is said that the wattage of the speaker should be minimum 2 x the amp wattage rating to make sure all peaks are accommodated when the amp is turn all the way up. Lower wattage on speaker compare to amp can destroy it(again controls of your amp play major role).

if you have 60W amp the speaker(or set of speakers) should be minimum 120W and this is for example 2 Celestion V30 as each has 60W or 4 Celestion Greenback as they are rated at 30W.
