This is probably aimed more at any Blackstar employees who watch the forum, but I am curious as to what the HT stands for, in some of the product lines (if it stands for anything)? I suppose in practice it is applied to the tube-equipped products, or at least most of them. But I am still curious about the derivation.
FWIW, I like the product naming convention of the HT Venue series a lot, the way the name tells you right away what the wattage is, and also gives a clear mental picture of the intended application/environment (e.g., Studio, Club, Stage, etc.) Not that these names are limiting the actual usage in any way - but they create a clear mental image.
Product naming question
The official response from Blackstar is High Tension, although I prefer Huge Tits myself.

Yes, HT = High Tension which is another way of saying High Voltage. The term "HT Rail" has been used in tube amp circles for decades to refer to the high voltage supply line that feeds the power tubes.

OK, HT = High Tension (British equivalent of High Voltage) makes sense.
Thanks for the explanation.
I figured the T didn't directly stand for Tube, just because the British term would have been valve...
