I saw and heard one of the HT-1 combos at a Blackstar demo a few days ago. If I say where, the Blackstar rep will get a b*llocking, apparently!
It looked impossibly cute and sounded VERY loud for 1W - easily powerful enough to fill the music shop we were in. But then, I think Blackstar watts are bigger than other people's: my Stage 60 is much, much louder than my Marshall VT-100.
The rep said they'd be out in time for people's Christmas lists, at £199 for the combo. He didn't mention a head, though.
By the way, the demo was really good - top marks to the guys from Blackstar for putting these events on and being really happy to hang around afterwards to chat with individuals. They really do seem to care what people think about their products, despite some of the whingeing we see in these forums!

That sounded pretty good if you ask me for no eq and was quite loud also. Was he running that out a 4x12?

I guess he was running it through the 4x12 it's sitting on. Yea, it did sound pretty good.Superchampable wrote:That sounded pretty good if you ask me for no eq and was quite loud also. Was he running that out a 4x12?
Reverb at 1ish, EQ at 8, volume at 6, Overdrive Channel engaged with Gain at 8.
Not bad sounding really, would love to hear the clean channel

Alright I hate to sound like a cork sniffer but did you notice they labeled the ht-1 as "all valve" in that vid? Come on they gotta be pulling are leg on that one. Awsome vid by they way.
